A very simple flatbread flavored with fennel. Simple as in four, water, egg and fennel, no measurements. The icing is water and cornstarch with a little bit of blue food coloring. Not great tasting to me, but the beagle didn’t care!

Easter Bunny Taxidermy
Very easy Easter craft made with a dollar tree stuffed bunny.
Plaque was purchased several years ago. I painted it with a dark golden yellow and brown streaks to attempt a cartoonish faux bois.
I cut the stuffed animal at the waist, under the arms. Tucking the arms up into the body helps with making the whole thing more taut.
Bunny is then glued to the plaque with hot glue.
Michael added a sawtooth hanger to the back when I was all finished!

Encapsulated Caucasian
I was given those adorable tiny jars, and had to stick an HO figure in it, like scratching an itch. Continue reading Encapsulated Caucasian
Poker Chip Keychain
The last thing I drilled was a thick subway token, so drilling through this soft plastic poker chip seemed especially luxurious.
The bar Tattooed Mom distributes poker chips to their customers, which can be used for discounts for life. I’ve accumulated three, but never remember to bring them with me to the bar. To finally solve this problem, I made myself this key chain, and have one on the way (gotta get another small size split ring!) for Michael.
Felt Cicada Pin
I made four of five of these pins in the winter of 2016. I was having a little bit of chaos in my life, and needed a a craft to focus on that wasn’t too challenging.

This craft was inspired by two things: my short term desire to make something with materials I already have, and my long term goal of eventually having a digestive system themed powder room.
The plaque I got years ago at a craft store, with the intention of making an Easter Bunny taxidermy. I spray painted the unfinished plaque light green. I tried to spray paint it metallic gold but I think the can was frozen.
The digestive system itself is made from Scupty. I have a lot of polymer clay, but I find any brand other than Scupty unworkable. I traced a very simplified digestive system on regular lined paper, in the size I wanted for the final result. I built the sculpty right on top of the drawing, using it as guidance for the proportion and shape. I transferred the sculpture (?) to a cookie sheet lined with foil for baking.
After the Sculpy was cooked and cooled, I painted it with acrylic paint. The whole thing was then glued to the plaque. A saw tooth hanger is in the plans-but since it wasn’t a material I already own, it hasn’t made it to this project!
Felt Lipstick, Borax Lipstick
I have a lot of empty lipstick tubes, from the lipstick lady project, which I used those as inspo for a beginners borax crystal project (on right). The crystals are colored with food coloring and built on a white pipe cleaner. I’m still learning the the ins and outs of making crystals-I hope my projects become more complex and controlled.
On the left you see a felt lipstick, which is, like, the opposite of crystal lipstick.
Romantic Zombie Headband (Wearable Worlds)
This is another one from my Wearable Worlds series of headbands (Doomsayer Headband here). This one features two zombies on a bench, with a bloodied arm next to them.
