I was not expecting a to become a napkin ring person, but now with pandemic making paper products hard to find, I thought it was a good idea to switch back to cloth napkins once and for all.
These are essentially just coils made from polymer clay. They are completely painted with acrylic enamel, meaning no naked clay touches the cloth. I’ve done a lot of googling about the safety of polymer clay, and am still unclear about how close it’s allowed to get to your food. Obviously, I would never eat off of it, but I’m reading that it is not as toxic as it used to be. Hopefully the paint is safe.
